OUR 2023

BBG Fest Recap

BBG Fest

On Saturday, July 8th, We Make Noise Boston held its first ever BBG Fest: a celebration of women and gender-expansive musicians, artists, and makers in the Greater Boston area. Hosted by the Boston Chapter of Beats By Girlz, BBG Fest (now WMN Fest) is a one day event that is free, celebrating local creators and empowering women and gender-expansive people to take up space in the cultural sector. Notoriously, the music industry gate keeps opportunities for gender minorities, and WMN Fest is a small step towards opening those gates and providing empowering professional experiences to our community. WMN Fest is made by and for women and gender-expansive people and all genders are welcome to attend.

The outdoor festival took place from noon to 8:00pm and included  performances from
Bad Snacks, Brandie Blaze, Mint Green, dolltr!ick, ximena, Naomi Westwater, and 1-800-SHORT- KING. The festival is open to the public. WMN Fest is made possible by the Boston Mayor's Office of Arts and Culture . Stay tuned for details on WMN Fest 2024!
