We Make Noise Fest
On Saturday, August 24 2024, We Make Noise Boston proudly hosted We Make Noise Fest, a dynamic celebration of women and gender-expansive artists across the Greater Boston area. The festival, was presented by Mass NOW with support from the Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture and BID Boston. This year’s We Make Noise Fest featured local musicians and a period art gallery highlighting presented by Mass NOW. Additionally, Boston Women’s Market showcased a platform of local vendors.
The festival was headlined by Oompa, a celebrated Boston-born artist and one of Boston Magazine’s 150 Most Influential Bostonians. Known for her electrifying performances and poetic lyricism, Oompa has garnered three Boston Music Awards, along with 15 nominations, and captivated the audience with her engaging, interactive style. Alongside Oompa, performers included Cakeswagg, Lisa Bello, Amanda Shea, Naomi Westwater, Kühlname, Daniela Gómez, Analise, Kim Moberg, dogtailcorners, and Ladubygg.
The festival ran from noon until 8:00 pm and was open to all, welcoming attendees of all genders to join in the celebration. Stay tuned for announcements about next year’s festival!
